Why CELPIP is a preferred exam over IELTS for Canadian PR.

1. CELPIP is a one-sitting exam, unlike IELTS, which is conducted on two different days. This makes CELPIP a faster and less stressful test experience.
2. All four modules are completed in a single sitting. With IELTS, test takers have to go to different exam centres on different days.
3. CELPIP is a completely computer-based exam, offering the advantage of fastest and accurate result declaration.
4. The CELPIP exam score is eligible for Study purposes also. You can use exam score for either of study or PR purposes within two years of validity.
5. CELPIP offers greater convenience in terms of exam dates. Test takers can easily find available exam dates, often within the same week. In contrast, IELTS often requires a waiting period of at least four weeks before the next available test date.

    • CELPIP provides individual cabins for the exam, while IELTS is conducted as a group exam using pen and paper.

    • CELPIP consists of 38 listening questions to be completed within a 55-minute time limit, whereas IELTS has 40 questions to be completed within a 30-minute time limit.
    • To achieve the CLB 9 score, CELPIP requires 9 out of 12 correct answers (75%), while IELTS requires 8 out of 9 correct answers (90%). This means an additional 15% score is needed in IELTS to attain CLB 9.
    • In order to attain the CLB 9 score, CELPIP necessitates 33 correct answers out of the 38 given questions, whereas IELTS requires 37 correct answers out of the 40 questions.
    • CELPIP allows for up to 5 incorrect answers while still achieving the CLB 9 score, while IELTS allows for a maximum of 3 incorrect answers.

    Why more CELPIP Exam holders are getting Canadian – PR in comparison to IELTS Exam
